Is it still worth learning 3D art in 2025? | Plus our CG Boost Big Yearly Sale 🥳

Hey Reader,

Zach here,

and today is my 36th Birthday! 🎂🥳 Like every year, we’re celebrating something special: our 6th CG Boost Birthday Sale! 🚀

CG Boost turned six this spring, and after working with this amazing team for so long, I still feel like a kid bursting with creativity.

What began as me making Blender courses & tutorials has grown into a team of 8 passionate artists, working together to bring you our best Blender education and inspiration.

This year I wanted to do something different.

Instead of just announcing our yearly sale and moving on, I want to address a question I think many creative artists are asking themselves right now:

In times of fear and uncertainty, is it still worth learning and creating 3D art?

Often while scrolling for art updates and inspiration, I’ll see some news about generative tools getting even “better”. Yet, I don’t see excitement for the future from people… but a sense of dread.

When I see sloppy art and soulless content online, it really just makes me want to engage with real art and appreciate it so much more! And I can’t be the only one.

I feel in our times of creative adversity, true human passion and creativity is now more important than ever.

I’m so much happier when someone finishes a tutorial, course or personal project, seeing their confidence grow as they realize how powerful their own creativity really is.

But! It’s still a scary time for sure, we worry the tools large corporations are creating are doing more harm than good.

So I sat down with the CG Boost team to ask them about how they are staying passionate and creative these days.

We also opened up a bit about what it’s like to work behind the scenes at CG Boost:

Is it Still Worth Creating 3D Art?

I personally believe that the artists who keep creating, who choose depth over slop, meaning over fast trends, will not only thrive in this new era, but define it.

Here’s to another year of creating with passion. ❤️
