We’re super excited to share 2 big premieres from our colleagues (Martin Klekner and Pierrick Picaut), so we decided to change our regular schedule and add a special extra newsletter. On this occasion, we’ll also remind you that you can still join our Summer 3D Challenge. Let’s dive right in. Martin Klekner’s new Short Film on Epic History ChannelWhat started as a small side project for Martin Klekner turned into another impressive short film. This time it’s about Alexander the Great's speech that ended a mutiny in his army. It’s now available on the Epic History YouTube Channel. Once again, Martin delivers great storytelling and visuals, along with historical accuracy backed by his own meticulous research and consulting with experts in the field. Martin shares some behind-the-scenes in this video. How was he able to pull off a project of this scale? You’ve guessed it. He asked his friends for some help. Brian Kouhi from ToAnimate helped to deliver character animations for the main hero, František Smetana helped with background painting, and Eddy van Mourik created the maps. Looks like Martin really took inspiration from Alexander the Great and led his team to a glorious victory! ‘The Chase’ - A new Animated Short by Pierrick PicautToday, another cool short film premieres on YouTube: ‘The Chase’ from Pierrick Picaut was kept secret so far, and only a short teaser has revealed a small hint of what’s coming… One thing is sure, though. It will be full of the highest-quality animation that Pierrick has set as his standard. So fasten your seatbelts, get your popcorn ready, and prepare for some action! We’ll be watching it too!🍿🤓 You can still join the CG Boost Summer Challenge!September means ‘back to school’ for some, but there are still two more weeks left to join our Summer Challenge (the deadline is September 10th) and keep the chill vacation vibes on. It’s all about turning one of our course’s results into a summer-themed render. Keep it fun, relaxed, and let your creativity loose! (The new skills and knowledge will just add up as a side effect).
