Zach here, with another round of exciting news from the 3D world. Including a Blender made Elden Ring chess set, a free professional 3D character rig for Blender and more. Let’s go. Elden Ring Chess Set made in BlenderWhile waiting for the highly anticipated and newly released Elden Ring DLC, 3D artist and YouTube creator, Noggi, crafted a full 3D printable set of chess pieces from Elden Ring characters, in Blender. And he did a spectacular job. The sculpted chess pieces look awesome, but it is even greater that Noggi prepared a breakdown video of the full project, sharing precious bits of his workflow that can be very helpful for anyone sculpting in Blender. If this inspired you to sculpt your own chess set from your own favorite games, you can check out our free Sculpting for Beginners course, or our Master 3D Sculpting course, both in Blender. Realistic Clay Materials for your 3D SculpturesSpeaking about sculpting, here’s a new photorealistic clay shader collection released by BProduction called "Potter’s Touch". With this customizable shader and its 26 ready-to-use 8K textures, you can easily showcase your sculptures beautifully in no time, so you can focus more on practicing sculpting, without worrying about the texturing process. You can currently get it 25% off by using the coupon code below. 25% Off Coupon Code: POTTER25 Get Potters Touch on Blender Market (affiliate link) Check out this fantastic 3D animation by Reynante Martinez, made using these clay shaders. Free fully Rigged 3D Character for BlenderNext, I have a great freebie straight from our friend Pierrick Picaut (P2Design), who just released a fully rigged 3D character from his amazing short movie entirely for free. You can download it along with other cool rigged characters below. Download the Free Rigs Don’t try this animation at homeIf you dream of being a professional game animator, you have to check out this animation. Just look at the great subtle motions and all the fun details. As you can see from some of his other videos, he uses Blender - not sure if it was used for this one though. Ranon Sarono the creator of this animation, works full-time at Infinity Ward as a Principal Animator, and worked at Respawn Entertainment before. On YouTube, he is also known as hyper and creates these amazing smooth animations, with fun twists. Definitely check out his other animations as well. That's all for this week, until next time with more 3D news and inspiring content. ~Zach |
