[Resources] Best Blender Animation Course on the Planet 🕺

Hey Reader,

Zach here, with another round of useful and inspiring CG and Blender related resources.

Alive! New Blender Animation Course ($)

Ok, if you ever wished there was a comprehensive course teaching everything you need to know about character animation in Blender, wait no longer!

Pierrick Picaut, has worked so hard in the last years and months to put together this big animation course for Blender.

And with "big" I'm not only talking about the sheer amount of content it has (150+ videos with 28+ hrs running time), but also the amount of expert knowledge and education quality this course offers.

I had the chance to take a look at the course already, and I'm blown away on what he as put together. This is one of the best Blender courses I have ever seen. After watching one video, I couldn't wait to start the next one.

He is starting with the very basics of animation and step-by-step guides you into learning how to create complex character animations. So no prior animation knowledge is required.

It has great practical exercises, and Pierrick is not only focusing on the technical aspect, but also how to study reference material and how to make your animations look and feel appealing.

The whole course shows Pierrick's passion for the topic, and that is reflected in the great way he is teaching it.

Ok, enough raving about it, check it out for yourself.

Since it just dropped today, you can get a 25% discount, when using the coupon code: earlybird (valid until August 19th)

Infinite Nintendo Loop - Grease Pencil & Geometry Nodes Breakdown

If you are interested in combining 2D and 3D animation in Blender, Kevin Ramirez has a great YouTube channel where he uses Grease Pencil and Geometry Nodes to put together beautiful 3D art and animations.

Check out the video above, where he breaks down an infinite Nintendo loop.

And Kevin has such a pleasant voice to listen to! 🎤

"2003" CG Art Breakdown by Cornelius Dammrich

Cornelius Dammrich is back with anther of his highly detailed 3D artworks, featuring an astronaut in a LAN Party environment. This is waking many memories for me, when I was doing LAN Parties together with my friends back when I was a teenager. It is like playing online games, but all players are in the same room (in real life 😜), it was much fun.

The breakdown video above is a pure feast for the eyes. Also, check the high resolution rendering and behind the scenes shots, over on ArtStation.

I don't know if Blender was not involved here.

Vacations and Sculpting Course Update

If you haven't received my email yesterday, I will be on vacation for the next two weeks, so don't expect new content from me during this time. The team is still there to answer your questions, so no worries.

Also, during these two weeks, you can grab the 20% discount for my freshly updated Blender sculpting course. Simply use the coupon code SCULPTVACATION21 at the checkout page.

That's it for this week, now enjoy your weekend and stay creative!
