Zach here, With a new dose of inspiration and resources from the 3D world. Today, I’ll share two breakdown videos from our course instructors. The first one is about stylized and the second one, about realistic animated shots in Blender. Finally, I’ll share a new PBR fabric material set from Poly Haven, and an update to Master Compositing in Blender and the free Blender Lens Flare System. Let’s dive in. How Martin Klekner Makes Stylized Shots in BlenderMartin Klekner has recently shifted his Heroes of Bronze project's style from realism to stylized animations. In this video, he explains his entire new workflow, from basic blockouts and ready-made animations, through stylized shaders setup and Grease Pencil enhancements, to hand-painted texturing using camera projection. It’s not a step-by-step tutorial, but rather a general overview of the tools and techniques Martin uses and blends together to work efficiently and with great artistic control. How to Create Hollywood-Level Animations in BlenderIf you’re more into 3D realism, our Master Urban Environments in Blender instructor, Covington, shares a deep dive into his recent, realistic animated shots. In this tutorial, he shows how to use ready-made characters, rigs, and animations from Mixamo and customize them for your own projects. It’s a great introduction to the basics of rigging and animation, as well as using Blender’s Non-Linear Animation editor to blend animations together. At the end of the video, Cov also breaks down his stunning, realistic 3D environments’ creation workflow. Tons of valuable tips and knowledge in this one. Poly Haven’s Fabric Textures Vault - 100% FreePoly Haven has just released another bundle of high-quality PBR texture sets. This time, it’s called Fabric Textures Vault and contains 31 brand-new fabric materials you can use 100% free for any of your projects. Denim, jersey, corduroy, or linen… whatever fabric you need, you’ll probably find it here. A great resource for interior decoration or dressing your 3D characters with style and chic. New Updates: Master Compositing in Blender + Lens Flare SystemDaniel Nees has just updated his Master Compositing in Blender course and his Lens Flare System for Blender, to work with the latest Blender 4.5 LTE version.
That’s all from me today. Have a great weekend, and till next time. ~Zach |
