Zach here. Back in early 2019, I started CG Boost. Not long after that, I released my Blender Launch Pad course. It launched around the same time as Blender 2.8, which was a huge moment for Blender, and honestly also a pretty big one for me. Blender Launch Pad was the course that really gave CG Boost its first proper “boost” and helped turn it into what it is today. Since then, a lot has changed. Blender has grown from a fairly niche 3D program into a powerful multi-tool used by hobbyists and professionals all around the world. The UI, tools, and workflows have changed a lot too, and Blender has become incredibly powerful. But the one thing that has always stayed the same is what I love most about Blender: It gives you the freedom to take an idea in your head and bring it to life in 3D. That feeling is what got me excited about 3D in the first place, and it’s also a big part of why I enjoy teaching it. I want more people to experience that moment when you realize, “Hey, I can actually create this myself.” CG Boost has grown along with Blender. We've created lots of new courses, tutorials, and projects over the years, and I’ve also learned a lot more about 3D and how to teach it in a way that is clear, fun, and actually enjoyable to follow. The original Blender Launch Pad is still a valuable course, and the core 3D fundamentals behind it are still just as important today. But at some point, I wondered: What would Blender Launch Pad look like if I made it again today, completely from scratch? Well... I’ve been working on the answer to that question for a very, very long time. And later this week, I can finally show you what I’ve been building. Stay tuned! ~Zach |
