What are your favorite robot designs? 🤖

Hey Reader,

Zach here,

ever since I saw this animation by Louis du Mont some years ago, I was stroked and knew, that this guy has a some amazing robot design skills.

Later I also found out, that he makes excellent Blender tutorials on YouTube, where I already thought that he would be a great match for CG Boost.

Then, after seeing this "Turbo 386" animation below, I knew, I had to get in touch with Louis, and get him on board for creating a course with CG Boost (about robots of course). 🤩

Luckily he said "yes", and now, since a few weeks, our new Robotic Planet course is out, where you learn everything to create your own robots in Blender from scratch. 🥳

Personally, I find Louis’ robot animations super inspiring. Every time I watch them, I want to jump back into Blender and create my own fun robots.

This brings me to the question: Which robot designs are so good, interesting or just iconic that they make you want to create your own?

We asked the same question in our community, and got replies like Overwatch Bastion, Wall-E, Chappie, classics like R2D2 and many more.

Go check out all answers here and feel free to add your own inspiring robots to the list too.

Btw, you’re still in time to be an early bird for the Robotic Planet course.

When you join the course till August 16th, 2023, you will get an exclusive Blender Photo Shoot Scene file, where you can easily drop your own robots in, and render out a fun animation with a few clicks (check the demo video here).

This is so much more than I expected. I enrolled thinking it would be a hard-surface modeling course with a bit of rigging thrown in, but it's so much more. I've been using Blender for quite a few years now but there's always more to learn, and this has taught me so much - and I'm only halfway through. It would have been worth the cost just for the bits I've done. :)

See you inside!
