Zach here, I’m excited to announce that the launch of our latest course, Master Compositing in Blender, is arriving this Friday, 20th December. And now a great time to introduce you to the wise wizard of compositing VFX and instructor of our new course, Daniel Nees. Why Learn Compositing in Blender from Daniel Nees?Compositing is fun, satisfying, and powerful. It’s the closest thing to having a “make look beautiful” button in Blender. Blenders Compositor delivers some truly powerful techniques that are otherwise impossible to achieve, such as adding a real actor in a CG environment or blending a CG object or character in a real world environment. You can quickly fix render issues, improving the look of real footage, and easily increasing the realism of your 3D renders. Boosting your work to the next level in very little time, with very little effort. Who is Daniel NeesOne of the many reasons we are excited to have Daniel teach this course, is that he's been working as a Compositor in the film VFX industry for 9 years, on movies and shows such as:
Every CG Boost Course has a storyAfter seeing Daniel's passionate involvement in our CG Boost community, I got in touch to have him help with customer support and community activities. I later found out that his full-time job was working as a Compositor and VFX artist. One quick glance at Daniel's portfolio and I saw the potential for him to become a great CG Boost instructor. I was amazed at how deeply he knew about VFX, and how easily he was using Blender's compositor to create movie quality renders. I'd assumed that to do any "real" compositing, you needed a program like Nuke, I was excited to be proved wrong, and realized how underrated Blender's Compositor is. What is special about Daniel's course is that he brings all his film VFX and compositing experience, and applies it to Blender, using it like a real industry veteran would, so you know the workflows you are learning are also used on high-end film productions. If you want a taste of Daniel's teaching style, check out one of his tutorials on our YouTube channel: 5 Tips for FASTER 3D Rendering (Blender Cycles)You might be itching to know what exactly is taught in the course?
