🚀 [Resources] Free Compositing Tutorial, V-Ray for Blender release and more...

Hey Reader,

Zach here,

With a new collection of inspiration and resources from the 3D world.

Today, I’ll share Kaizen’s free tutorial on compositing, followed by "Forest Therapy" - a funny summer animation, the news about the V-Ray for Blender release, and finally, a new Blender Secrets hard-surface course.

Let’s dive in.

The Power of Compositing in Blender

If you’ve never touched Blender’s compositor, you need to watch this video from Kaizen.

Jesse explains the basics of what compositing is and the secret superpowers it unlocks. You’ll learn how to denoise more efficiently, enable different render passes, apply post-production effects like Depth of Field, or change an object’s color without re-rendering.

If you’d like to dig deeper into the world of compositing, I recommend checking out our comprehensive Master Compositing in Blender course.

"Forest Therapy" - A funny Summer Animation in Blender

Summer is 100% here (at least in my part of the world), and there’s nothing like a trip to the forest to restore your peace of mind… but reality bites hard sometimes. 😉

This hilarious animation by Wrong Studio shows how dangerous, or simply annoying, nature can sometimes be(e) 🐝.

I recommend checking out the other videos on the Studio Wrong YouTube channel. Lots of fun and creative animations there.

V-Ray for Blender released

Chaos Group’s V-Ray has been one of the most widely used rendering engines in the CG industry for years. It is fast, versatile, reliable, and tested in demanding production environments in film VFX, advertising, and architectural visualization.

This week, the official release of V-Ray for Blender has been announced. For more info, watch the announcement video.

This marks another significant step in Blender's increasing adoption in professional environments.

Modeling the Pocket Blender Device

Jan van den Hemel from Blender Secrets has just released a new beginner-friendly hard-surface modeling course.

Modeling this fun "Pocket Blender" device is a pretext to learn the basic techniques and workflows of hard-surface modeling in Blender (and delete the default cube with a special button 😁).

That’s all from me today, have a great weekend, and till next time.
