Zach here, With a new long-awaited Community Challenge, new Art Sprints and the “Master Cinematic Storytelling in Blender” course Sale. Let’s dive in. CG Boost Challenges are back! After more than a year of pause, we took the time to rethink and restructure our approach to the challenges, and we’re finally ready to start a new one! We gave it an appropriate name and a theme: The Adventure Begins The goal is simple: Create a 3D artwork (a still render or animation) inspired by the challenge theme, using a simple low-poly style, while focusing on improving your cinematic storytelling and art fundamentals skills. Challenge Deadline is July 23rd, 2025 (16:00 CEST) Read all about the Challenge here (prizes, rules etc.) We focus on inspiration and creativity instead of competition. That’s why, instead of prizes and picking winners, we’re now offering a common theme, a Challenge Community Space to share your WIPs, feedback, and inspire each other, as well as a brand-new Hall of Fame Space (soon to be filled) that will keep your great art from being lost and forgotten in the internet void. Keeping it simple should help us keep them consistent. New Community Art SprintsAdditionally, we’ll be running monthly Art Sprints - specially dedicated to personal projects by the community members. We hope to make it an extra opportunity to boost motivation. Learn more about the Sprints here If you’d like to know more details about how these new spaces work, you can read the general announcement post in our Community. Master Cinematic Storytelling in Blender 20% offThe (perfectly fitting) sponsor of "The Adventure Begins" challenge is our Master Cinematic Storytelling in Blender course, so we’re putting it on sale while the challenge is on. It’s a great source of knowledge and inspiration to boost your creativity for the challenge and your entire 3D art adventure. 20% Off Coupon Code: ADVENTURE20 Join the course here 20% off The sale will be active until July 11th, 23:59 CEST. Good luck, and until next time. ~Zach |
