Hey Reader,
Zach here,
As teased in our last email already, we have a new Blender course coming soon, called "Robotic Planet".
It will be a course about creating hard-surface robots from scratch.
Check out our second teaser. 👇
This course focuses not only on the hard-surface modeling aspect, but it will also teach you the full pipeline to create robots from scratch.
This also includes procedural shading, rigging (making use of Geometry Nodes, Drivers and Constraints), animation, compositing and more.
In the end you will have an animated video, featuring your robot, which you can share with the world.
The course is currently beta-tested, and we aim for a release mid-July, 2023.
Stay tuned!
~Zach

This time, I want to talk about something many of my 3D artist friends (myself included) ran into when a creative hobby slowly started turning into something more serious. My career started as...
Hey Reader, Alan here, I help manage CG Boost. It's our Christmas/holiday break at CG Boost, I wanted to write you a thought piece. My goal with this email is to give you a bit of breathing room and maybe help you make a few wise choices on your creative artistic path. I want to start at the end by making two suggestions. Nothing too dramatic, but two clear ways, I invite you to be a bit of a rebel as a 3D artist. Rebellion Suggestion #1 Say no to hustle culture more often. When was the last...
