Zach here, With some fresh resources and inspiration from the 3D world. I’ll start with this week's big news that we released the "Master Cinematic Storytelling in Blender" course, which you can get with an Early Bird discount. Next, I have another good old Godzilla remake, an exciting car ride animation and a cool gravel sorting machine explainer animation (yup - I know it might sound boring, but trust me, it’s surprisingly stunning!). Let’s dive in. New Course - Master Cinematic Storytelling in BlenderOur new "Master Cinematic Storytelling in Blender" course by Martin Klekner is finally out! You can get an overview of what the course is focused on by watching Martin’s amazing trailer and this course overview video. The reception so far is great, and we can’t wait to see the cinematics you’ll create inspired by Martin’s practical and fun exercises backed with a solid dose of theory. The course is now on Early Bird Sale, so you can grab it at 20% off (expires May 2nd, 2025). Use the code EARLYBIRD20 at checkout.
"Godzilla vs Muto" Blender Animation by TAIAKIYou might remember the incredible classic Godzilla remake that fooled even the Corridor Crew VFX professionals, making them believe it was an original Japanese production from the 50s (I shared it in a newsletter some time ago). TAIAKI - the creator of that Blender animation, has just made another one - this time in full color. We can watch Godzilla fighting with Muto in this epic rubber monster battle with all the retro cinematic vibes you can imagine. All of this is made in Blender with some additional post-production. If you'd like to see some behind-the-scenes sneak peeks, you can follow TAIAKI’s profile on Twitter/X. "More Than A Ride" Cinematic Blender Car AnimationMaking a good-looking car chase scene in Blender is a tough challenge. Leone from Enhanced Sight pulled it off flawlessly with great and creative camera work, impressive environments, and lighting. If you need a fast ride to lift your mood, but you don’t have a fancy sports car (yet...), you can watch this animation and feel the speed and motor vibrations. This 3D Explainer Hits DifferentYou might think a gravel sorting machine is the most boring topic for a 3D animation. I thought so, too, before I saw this stunning explainer video showcasing the unique features of this machine. Great lighting and camera work, combined with dynamic editing, make up for an exciting video. The result looks almost like a cool title sequence of a series on Netflix. It got me hooked on gravel sorting machines 😉. This 3D Explainer truly hits different. That’s all from me today, have a great weekend, and till next time. ~Zach |
