Zach here, With a fresh collection of news and resources from the 3D world. Today I have a new free 3D asset collection from Polyhaven, a cool music visualization tutorial from Polyfjord, some valuable career tips from P2Design, and some free Geometry Nodes generators from Blenderesse. Let’s dive in. Free "Namaqualand" 3D nature assets from PolyhavenPolyHaven’s team has just released an impressive new collection of 100% free 3D nature assets. Even though their assets are free (in fact they are released as Public Domain with a CC0 license) PolyHaven is known for top quality. For their new collection, all the assets have been scanned at the same location in Namaqualand (South Africa). Hence, they fit together well, forming a coherent and beautiful semidesert biotope. If you need some nice plants, rocks and other nature assets for your 3D environments, you can download them here. Visualize Music like PolyfjordPolyfjord just keeps on making fun tutorials packed with simple but really powerful tricks. This time he tackles visualizing music through animation and syncing it with the sounds. If you’ve never animated before, this video can introduce you to some basic concepts, but I’m sure you’ll find something for yourself even if you’re more experienced. How to land a Job in the 3D IndustryIf you are struggling with getting employed as a 3D artist, or you’re just considering your future career, this video is filled with great tips and advice based on real-life experience from Pierrick Picaut (author of great animation and rigging courses for Blender affiliate link). Pierrick shares his honest opinions on what should motivate you in your journey as a 3D artist and how to get the best out of the opportunities in front of you. If you want to invest in yourself and become a 3D professional, watching this video will surely be time well spent. Free Geometry Nodes Generators from BlenderesseJesse Miettinen (also known as Blenderesse) is a real Geometry Nodes wizard. He created a couple of the most impressive and powerful Geo-Nodes-based generators out there, such as Castle Generator, Electric Line Generator or Cottage Generator. This week, he has just made all of those goodies free for everyone (no catch). You can download them all from Jesse’s Gumroad. ~Zach P.S. Next week, some people from the CG Boost team (including me) are at the Blender Conference in Amsterdam. So it might take a bit longer until we reply to emails and messages. |
