🚀 [Resources] Free Sculpting Course on YT, Blender 4.2 Shortcut PDF, New City Generator and more

Hey Reader,

Zach here,

With another round of exciting news from the 3D world.

This time we have our updated Shortcut PDF for Blender 4.2, our Blender Sculpting Beginners course now on YouTube, a very impressive City Generator add-on, and a reminder of our CG Boost summer sale.

Let’s go!

Full Blender Sculpting Course now on YouTube

I combined my whole Blender Sculpting for Beginners course into one (~3.5 hours long) video and published it on the CG Boost YouTube channel for you to enjoy.

You can watch it here

Specific lessons of the course are marked as timestamps so you can easily find the part you need.

The full course experience is still superior on our website, with it being in a distraction free environment with bite-sized lessons and better support from our team.

But I’m excited to make it even more available for anyone that wants a strong start with 3D sculpting in Blender.

Blender 4.2 Hotkey Sheet update

Blender 4.2 LTS has just been released this Tuesday, and we’re already shipping our handy and freshly updated Blender Hotkey Sheet compatible with this latest version.

You can download the PDF here

Extremely Customizable City Generator add-on

With this new City Generator add-on, all you need to make a city is a subdivided plane, that automatically turns into whole city blocks by using Geometry Nodes.

But… that’s what most city generators do. So what makes this one unique?

It’s extremely customizable. Almost everything in this add-on is procedural and can be tweaked.

You can randomize the shapes of the buildings by adding more sophisticated floor plans and changing the higher sections for high-rise buildings. This helps to avoid repetition and makes the city feel more real.

Facade materials are also procedural and easily customizable. There’s even an option to add city lights for night scenes, as well as some animated traffic.
