Zach here, With a fresh collection of news from the 3D world. Today we have the Pwnisher’s "Kinetic Rush" challenge top 100 montage, an award-winning animated movie trailer made in Blender, tips on making your short movie projects from SouthernShotty and a great deal from Blender Secrets. Let’s dive in. Top 100 KINETIC RUSH Challenge Montage It’s that time of the year again when the new awesome Pwnisher’s Challenge top 100 animation montage is out! It has already become a staple of quality and entertainment in the industry. The video once again is a testimony of the incredible creativity, skill and passion that artists put into these short animations. Award-winning animated Movie made in Blender"Flow" is a beautiful, animated movie starring a cat and some other animals. It was created by a Latvian director Gints Zilbalodis with a team of Latvian and French artists and is already conquering the hearts of audiences and critics at film festivals (it won awards in Cannes and Annecy and is about to be Latvia’s candidate for the Oscars). Blender and EEVEE were the main tools for the production. In interviews, Gints Zilbalodis praises the experience of using Blender, allowing the creation of entire shots live in the 3D viewport. The peculiar thing about the film is that it contains no dialogue but only animation and music. This makes the experience unique, and all non-verbal means of communication sound stronger in the film. Watch the trailer to check it out yourself. How Not to Make a Short FilmSouthernShotty, the creator of the Watermelon Girl short film, is the right person to learn from about creating big personal projects. If you feel overwhelmed with the amount of work it takes and are afraid to even start, or if you struggle to finish, this video has loads of great tips and inspiration on avoiding the most common pitfalls of such projects. I hope it will help you start and finish your next big thing. Blender Secret’s Ebook 30% off and Courses 50% offJan van den Hemel from Blender Secrets runs a sale for his handy ebook full of useful Blender tips and for his Hard-Surface Sculpting and Smart Materials courses.
