Zach here, I'm excited to announce our new Master Compositing in Blender course just launched! 🥳 But that's not all—we have more exciting updates:
Let’s dive in. Master Compositing in Blender - Just launched! We’re very excited to announce the launch of the Master Compositing in Blender course by Daniel Nees. It is a comprehensive guide through one of the most powerful yet often underrated parts of Blender - the Compositor. If you want to create VFX shots, mix real video footage with 3D, or simply enhance and embellish your renders to give them a visual boost - this course will teach you all of it in Blender. Daniel (the instructor) is a seasoned VFX Artist/Compositor, working for almost a decade in professional film productions like Marvel or Star Wars. This gives him the knowledge, but he is also a great guy and an active CG Boost community member, always eager to help and share his tips and tricks. Stylized Rendering in Blender will be changed foreverDillon Goo (founder of Dillon Goo Studios) who specializes in Non-Photorealistic Rendering in Blender has some great news for the Blender Community. The experience he and his team earned by making 3D anime in Blender and developing their own stylized rendering engine called Goo Engine will now directly contribute to Blender’s development. This means a whole new chapter for NPR in Blender. I will not spoil the fun of hearing this great news from Dillon himself. Hard Surface Modeling in Blender for BeginnersJan van den Hemel (Blender Secrets) is launching a new course for beginners. It covers modeling a "Spidermech" robot from start to finish. The course has 2 main parts. The first part deals with creating the model with a modifier-based workflow, and the second tackles retopology and preparation for export to game engines. In the early access that is now launched, only the first part is made available (with the second one starting in January, with new lessons every week). Get the course with a 25% Early Bird discount. Blender has just turned 30 this year. This interview is a great summary of the incredible success and amazing story of this beloved software. None of this would have happened without the passion, curiosity, and determination of Ton, who was and still is the inspiring force behind Blender. Andrey Lebrov who made this interview (professional VFX artist with many years of experience in the industry, using many 3D programs like Cinema 4D or Houdini) is amazed by how far Blender has come from a "hobbyist toy" to a widely used and respected tool for professionals. During the holidays, CG Boost support will be limited. Christmas holidays are approaching fast and the CG Boost team is going to have a break till the end of the year. This means we will be less available from Dec, 23rd to Jan 1st, and in that period our support will be limited and slower than usual. We aim to recharge our batteries, spend time with our families to start the New Year with fresh energy and ideas to create. We appreciate your understanding. Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you! ~Zach |
