Hey Reader,
Zach here, and after a little Easter break, I'm back with another round of useful and inspiring CG and Blender related resources.
Animated Lightning in Blender (Tutorial)
Martin Klekner published a new tutorial on our YouTube channel, about creating an animated lighting in Blender using Grease Pencil, and compositing it into your shots.
This was one of the most requested tutorial topics for the Master 3D Environments in Blender course, where we also added two separate lessons about this subject.
The French James Bond (Blender Short Film)
I recently came across this short film by Skyline Studios RC, and as I watched it, I initially thought this was shot in real life, until I realized it was entirely made in Blender. 🤯
Some shots are looking perfectly photo real, and the story is fun as well. Kudos for this great work.
Here you can watch a breakdown of the short.
Create Spacecraft in Blender (Tutorial)
Riley Brown is relatively new in the Blender YouTube tutorial scene, but I'm sure he will rise up quite quickly, since he has a very distinct style of making his tutorials. It feels more like watching high quality documentaries, rather than Blender tutorials.
Check out the spacecraft tutorial above, or the others videos on his channel, to understand what I mean.
Abstract Art Geometry Nodes Tutorials
Here is a shout-out to Bbbn19, who is creating easy to follow Geometry Nodes tutorials on YouTube, where you learn how to create all sorts of beautiful animated abstract art.
If you want to enjoy more of his art, check out his Twitter profile.
That's it for this week, now enjoy your weekend and stay creative!
~Zach
P.S. I'm currently finishing up the next big chapter for my Master 3D Sculpting in Blender course, where we will texture a creature from scratch. Should be published in around two weeks. Stay tuned!
